They began using foam cushioning made with soy-based BiOH® polyols over two years ago. At that time, American Furniture Manufacturing President Lyle Harris said, “American Furniture prides itself on utilizing our domestic resources. When you couple our domestic human resources with the ability to utilize the natural resources of our country, it makes the decision to use the Flexible Foam product a great fit. Any step to help our country become less dependent on oil while supporting farmers is a step worth embracing.”  We agree!

American Furniture Manufacturing continues to use soy foams made in part with BiOH polyols across all of their upholstered products.

I appreciated reading about American Furniture Manufacturing. I like hearing about furniture companies who take their commitment to the consumer beyond fabric and design to the heart of their pieces.

Knowing that the furniture I buy for my home is made in the USA is a great feature in American Furniture Manufacturing. But they don’t just stop there they also want to help our country become less dependent on oil and support American farmers. I never thought of this benefit of using Soy based materials in furniture before but now I will look to my furniture purchases as a way to do these things.

The affordability is another feature of American Furniture Manufacturing that makes me interested. I like that fact that I can have sustainable furniture that I feel good about and at a price that is also reachable for my family.

I totally want to sit & sleep on some soy after reading about BiOH and their great partners. I really do appreciate knowing what goes inside my furniture not not just how it looks.

Information like this is what we don’t get in some furniture stores. That’s why I LOVE learing about products online!

And that last couch pictured? With the Ottoman and drawer?

    DROOLworthy!!!

Good to see some Eco friendly furniture being made. Soy is a great “Green” resource that more companies should be focusing on.
