BiOH® Polyols Team Share Green Living Actions from 2008

Posted by Jessica, BiOH Polyols Marketing Manager on February 5, 2009

As 2009 kicked off a few weeks ago, I surveyed BiOH team members to find out what steps they took in 2008 to lessen their environmental footprint. The responses were quite interesting… from increased use of reusable shopping bags to composting, they did some cool stuff! Here are just a few replies –

“Purchased a rotary mower instead of a gas powered mower”
“Bought more digital music instead of physical copies of records”
“Purchased an energy efficient dish water that uses less energy and less water”
“Pressurized car tires to higher levels for better gas mileage.”
“Switched to eco-friendly cleaning products”
“Signed up for pilot compost collection program”

Plus LOTS of recycling, use of cloth shopping bags, adjusting thermostats, and switching light bulbs. It all adds up! We’re curious…. What did you do?

I discovered your homepage by coincidence.
Very interesting posts and well written.
I will put your site on my blogroll.

It all adds up! Personally I’m recycling more (making monthly trips to the county recycle center), conserving water at home and drinking more organic beer.
At work, raising awareness about energy, water and waste reduction has lead to a corporate-wide initiative, though still in the formative stage, adderssing sustainability issues.
    cheers, Bobby

Little things add up over time! At our office we have a policy that we don’t print *anything* unless absolutely necessary. We send proposals and docs ahead of time to clients via email and usually find that they’ve printed them off for the meeting anyway. :-) Saves a ton of paper and printer cartridges over time – and the cost savings are incredible.
