I hope you had fun checking out the fabulous fabric selections that C.R. Laine offers for the Easton chair... the possibilities are endless! I was so happy to hear that Bruce already has C.R. Laine furniture and can testify to their great products. And we loved Madonna's summary that "their pieces have Southern Elegance with Zen Modern hearts."

I'm happy to announce the Soy Style contest winner for the C.R. Laine post... Anusha! We loved the personal reference to your grandmother's cotton mattresses, the engagement through asking questions, and the honest feedback that the Cirque Linen fabrique didn't fit your personal style. Thanks for sharing, and congratulations!

I am totally thinking less about the outside of my furniture since learning about bedding & furniture using BiOH polyols. There is a lot more to what we have in our homes, lay our heads on, hug our kids on, and live our lives on that just the fabric & colors.

I enjoyed seeing the inside of the piece of furniture in the video to see the actual wood and foam and know that care and concern was taken by C.R. Laine in the inside as well as the outside of their furniture.

And to be honest the outside is as great as the inside. I love the chair is Cirque Linen, I think it would be a great stand alone piece in room. Seems like C.R. Laine has the supermodel of furniture lines as they have been showcased in a lot of magazines. Their pieces have Southern Elegance with Zen Modern hearts.

I loved learning about another company using great materials and really working to make the best product for our homes.

Hi Anusha -
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and questions! I wanted to address your question on soy percentage. Today our soy-based BiOH polyols can replace 5-25% of the petroleum based ingredients traditionally used to make foam cushioning; those are levels that the foam manufacturers have determined are optimal to ensure that the foam cushions perform and last as long as all petroleum based foams. Considering that only 3 years ago all of these products were 100% petroleum-based, we think this is a significant step! However, we’re not satisfied yet; the BiOH team is committed to developing new chemistries that create products with higher levels of renewable content.

I hope that answers your questions! If not, please ask more!

Thanks,
Jessica Koster from the BiOH polyols team

First of all, I will have to say that finally furniture company like yours are focussing more on using recycled and renewable sources thereby helping our environment. So, kudos to you! Thanks.
Can you tell me why only 22% of Soy based product is used right now and not more than that? I remember my grandmother used to make mattress (100% renewable) out of the cotton that grew in her backyard. It was the most comfortable mattress! I would love to buy your furniture sometime in the future.
Regarding the Easton chair, I like the fact that its fun and playful, but I am not sure If I would actually select that fabric for my living room. It will be best used at a kid's room. I am more of a contemporary/modern kind of a gal. I love the window pane blue or Sacchi natural style/fabric.
Thanks for sharing with all of us about your products.

What FUN to play with the fabrics! I chose Cartwheel Charcoal because my home at the lake has black and green. This chair would fit right in.

I giggled at her southern accent!

And it was really neat to "see" the showroom when the camera operated made a circle around the room.

WOW!

Susan and I (and our cat Nadine) have C.R. Laine furniture in two of our rooms (And, yes, Nadine sits in all of them, just like one of The Three Bears!).

But what is so special about today's experiencebio post is the The Easton Chair. I almost cried when I saw it!!!

Why? Because Susan has a collection of elephants. Not real elephants! But many statues of elephants. Big ones. Small ones. Even teeny tiny ones.

I am happy you showed this chair with that fabric. Maybe I will buy it for Susan for Christmas.

Hear! Hear! For Soy Style!

Thank You!

I think that Haiku Paprika or Bosporus Moss is a lovely color for that Easton chair. But, my husband likes the Karma Indigo, or those other blue and white patterns that remind him of his grandma's Blue Willow china. I wish there were a feature where the computer could put the fabric on the chair for you so you could kind of test drive it!
With the soy foam, how do you choose? I had no idea all these companies used it. I'm glad you're showcasing the options because I need new furniture soon.
